Our Physicians

Kojo Pobee, MD, CMD

Dr. Pobee is the founder of MD for Seniors, a medical practice since 2007 dedicated to long-term care that focuses exclusively on delivering physician services to patients where they reside: in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and, occasionally, in their homes.

Board Certified in Internal Medicine and in Geriatric Medicine, Dr. Pobee obtained his medical degree in 1988 from the University of Ghana Medical School in West Africa. He completed an Internal Medicine residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL and a Geriatric Fellowship at the Loyola University Medical Center/Hines VA program in Maywood, IL. Also a Certified Medical Director deemed from the American Medical Directors Association. Dr. Pobee has been serving for many years as Medical Director at Silverado Senior Living- Valley Ranch.

Dr. Pobee is proud to add published author to his list of accomplishments, to help families in their search of finding the right spot for their loved one. "Cut through the Noise" Nursing Home Care in the Baby Boomer Era, published in 2013.

Kari Miley- Nurse Practitioner (Denton County)

Kari is no stranger to long-term care, she has been caring for the geriatric population for over 11 years. She is a Oregon native and went to Idaho State University , her husband Kenny and their 2 grown children live in the Hickory Creek /Denton area. We were fortunate enough to snatch her up in 2011, and she has been doing great things for MD for Seniors ever since!

Lisa Cherian- Physician Asst. (Dallas County)

Lisa and her husband live in the Richardson area, she joined MD for Seniors in early 2014 and has been a great addition to the team, She studied at Houston Baptist before heading off to Texas Tech to pursue her degree as a Physician Assistant. Before joining our group she was a hospitalist at Harris Methodist Hospital and also JPS in Fort Worth. She believes she has found her calling in long-term care. Lucky us!
